Jan William van den Bosh

    He graduated from the Central Drama School of the London University and cooperated with such British theatres as «The Globe», «Lyric Theatre», Harold Pinter Studio, «Royal Court», «Volcano Theatre», «Almeida Theatre» etc.

    He staged Brecht, Gogol, Shakespeare, Jene, Frisch and modern authors.

    Jan is the laureate of several theatrical prizes, apart from producing he teaches and translates Brecht and Bernhard from Dutch.

    The director doesn’t speak Russian and the translator always helps him. It is his second experience of such communication with the actors. In the year 2002 he staged «Closer» by Patrick Marber play in the State Slovakia Theatre. He didn’t speak their language so they communicated by means of Dutch and English and gestures. But this production was awarded by National Theatrical Prize «Dosky» as the best play of the year.

    His projects were awarded in Germany and Great Britain as well.
