Oleg Ribkin

He finished GITIS in 1993 (Peter Fomenko Studio). He staged plays in Moscow, Krasnoyarsk, Omsk, Tomsk, Samara, Sofia. He started cooperation with the «Red Torch» since 1995. From 1997 to 2002 he was leading the theatre.

His plays in the «Red Torch»: «Time and Room» by B. Strauss, «Iwona, Princess of Burgundy» by B. Gombrovitch, «Presidents’ Wives» by Verner Shvab (the plays were marked by «Paradise Prize» for the best production); «Zoyka’s Apartment» by M. Bulgakov, «The Inspector General» by N. Gogol, «Life won Death» by D. Harms, «Three Sisters» by A. Chekhov, «Madlen and Moses» by Scotto etc.

He was the first to be nominated for the National Theatrical Prize «Golden Mask». The plays he staged in the «Red Torch» took part in five International European festivals.
